OneUptime MCP (official, remote)

Context cost warning: its tools/list is about 218,440 tokens (223 tools), 667% of a 32k context window and 109% of a 200k window, before you send a single message (raw tools/list payload 224,598 tokens). Load only the tools you need, or expect most of the context to go to tool definitions. Measured by counting the tokens in this server's tool list on 2026-11-02. How MCP context cost adds up

OneUptime's hosted endpoint https://oneuptime.com/mcp (server oneuptime-mcp 14.0.98; source in the OneUptime/oneuptime monorepo) completed initialize and tools/list with no sign-in and listed 223 tools (create/get/list/update/delete/count for each OneUptime resource). Calls need an account: count_teams was refused with 'Authentication is required for this tool. Sign in with OneUptime, or send a OneUptime API key in the x-api-key header.' (live endpoint probe, Nov 2, 2026). License: Apache-2.0, from the repo's LICENSE file, which covers everything outside the ee/ directory; the MCP server lives outside ee/. The npm package @oneuptime/mcp-server 9.2.22 was not tested. Score capped: no passing tool call.

Local-model readiness

Schema context cost: ~218,440 tokens for 223 tools (942,791 bytes) · about 2667% of an 8k context. Method: tiktoken cl100k_base over compact JSON of name+description+inputSchema (approximate).

Small-model friendly (schema heuristic, not a model result): unknown.

What we tested and what we didn't

Tested on 2026-11-02

  • Install from the registry (remote endpoint: connection only)
  • We connected with no credentials and asked for its tool list: it listed 223 tools (Method details: MCP initialize then tools/list)
  • Maintenance signals (last push, archived/deprecated status)
  • Docs (README length, install and config example)
  • License (OSI-approved or not)
  • Tool-schema token cost (estimate)

Not tested

  • Security: not audited (no code review, no permission or data-flow analysis)
  • Real tasks (no functional task runs yet)
  • Behaviour with real credentials or a real account
  • Performance, rate limits or load
  • Correctness of results beyond the listed tasks

Methodology: how we test. A high score means it installs and responds, not that it is safe to give it access to your data.
